| | | We call ourselves the best, smartest and most aggressive wrongful credit damage and identity theft attorneys in Southern California for a very good reason. Here are some facts you need to know about our firm when deciding who you should hire:
1. Robert F. Brennan has been selected as a Southern California Super Lawyer five years running, for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010! Super Lawyers names Southern California’s top lawyers as chosen by their peers and through the independent research of Law & Politics. The list of Southern California Super Lawyers is based on surveys of more than 65,000 lawyers across Los Angeles and Orange counties. The goal was to select as Super Lawyers the top 5 percent of Southern California attorneys in more than 60 practice areas. The list of Southern California Super Lawyers is published annually in the February issues of Los Angeles magazine and Southern California Super Lawyers, which is mailed to every attorney in Southern California. Wiener, have between them over 40 years of experience as practicing attorneys. Both were admitted to the California Bar in 1987. Mr. Wiener practiced for several years in Oklahoma before coming to California.
3. Our firm has an “AV” rating, which is the highest rating a firm can receive, based on two factors: legal ability and legal ethics. We received our AV rating from the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell company in 2002. The ratings are based not only on what other attorneys say, but what judges say as well.
4. Rather than stretching ourselves too thin by trying to cover all of California, we focus our practice on five counties only: Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange, San Bernardino and Ventura. By focusing on five counties, we are much better acquainted with the specific needs and requirements of the judges and courthouses in these five counties.
5. We have one office located right in Los Angeles County. We are not a satellite office for some nationwide “McFirm” out of Chicago or Detroit, staffed with young attorneys who have little if any trial experience. Again, by not stretching ourselves too thin, we are able to offer better legal services to our clients.
6. We have extensive trial experience and are not at all afraid to try a case if that’s what it takes. We are well known as trial lawyers and will take a worthy case to trial if the defense doesn’t make an offer or tries to “lowball” the case. We have the largest single verdict in a lemon law case in California. After watching the trial in this case, the trial judge, Hon. Dallas Holmes of the Riverside Superior Court, commented on the “excellence” of Mr. Brennan’s presentation. Other judges have commented similarly. Our firm has handled over 60 jury trials and numerous judge trials, and our winning percentage is impressive. In addition to wrongful credit damage and identity theft cases, we have numerous trial victories in several types of cases, which adds breadth and depth to our ability as trial attorneys.
7. We have handled hundreds, if not thousands, of wrongful credit damage, identity theft and abusive debt collection cases, all the way from pre-litigation through appeals. We have also been successful when we have had to fight cases up on appeal, as in Wang v. Massey, a case handled by Robert A. Wiener, which set precedent in California for evidence issues in consumer fraud cases.
8. Our pre-litigation success rate is at least as high as any firm’s in California. Our litigation success rate is even higher, because we are highly skilled litigators with a lot of experience. It is a fact that we get many referrals in wrongful credit damage and identity theft cases from opposing attorneys who have seen us in action, and from judges and their courtroom staffs who are familiar with our record and our results.
9. Our fee schedule is competitive with any other firm’s fee schedule. We handle most of our cases on a contingency basis.
We think that’s pretty good, but we are also available for free initial case reviews if you have any additional questions.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
